The Power of Pollination

This is a taster of a full set of resources designed to teach Garden to Table tamariki about pollination.

Pollinators play a vital role in our food chain. At Garden to Table, we love teaching children about the whole cycle of food from the garden to the table - and pollinators are an important part of this.

These resources help students grow their understanding of pollination, by exploring:

  • What is pollination? What is a flower? What is a pollinator? What happens when the two meet?

  • What is the life of a pollinator?

  • What actions can we take to look after the pollinators in our gardens and neighbourhoods?

To celebrate the creation of these resources, we are sharing two fun activities for you to enjoy - The Waggle Dance and Positive Pollen.
