Garden to Table’s newly released Annual Report

At Garden to Table, our mission is to empower tamariki to grow, harvest, prepare, and share nutritious kai. We do this by enabling schools in local communities throughout the motu to deliver, embed, and sustain impactful and holistic food education.

Our dream is to double the number of schools and students who benefit from Garden to Table. We are thrilled to release our Annual Report which celebrates the progress we are making towards this dream.

Please join us as we reflect on 2022 (our most recent financial year). We look at the positive impact Garden to Table is having on over 26,000 tamariki throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

After looking at our strategic priorities and dreams for the future, our Annual Report features reflections from our Chair and founding Trustee Catherine Bell and from our CEO Ani Brunet.

Both Catherine and Ani share some of their stand-out memories from the past year. This includes Her Excellency, The Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro, GNZM, QSO, Governor-General of New Zealand's accepting the role of patron for Garden to Table.

Our annual Principals’ Survey is another stand-out cause for celebration. 95% of principals say Garden to Table enables all sorts of students to shine and be successful. 98% of principals say Garden to Table encourages school children to be more adventurous around food.

Our Annual Report explores our environmental, hauora (health), educational, and community impact. We profile Garden to Table schools such as Poroti School in Whangārei and young Garden to Table changemakers such as Nico and Teisha.

We also recognise and appreciate you and everyone else who has kindly supported and contributed to our mahi throughout the past year. Thank you.

We hope you enjoy reading and celebrating with us!

Thank you so much to our generous sponsor Grant Thornton for auditing the performance report included in our Annual Report. We very much appreciate their support for Garden to Table and the positive difference they are making in the community.

Ngā mihi maioha, Grant Thornton.
