Our Biggest Year of Bake Sales with Westgold

This year we have a record 77 schools registered to take part in our annual Bake Sale kindly sponsored by our partners, Westgold. Bake Sale week is taking place May 6th-10th this year and schools from all over the motu will be showcasing their baking skills to raise money for their Garden to Table programmes.

Schools who register are sent a voucher for 10 packs of butter from our generous friends at Westgold and take on the challenge of adding a garden themed twist to their baking. Think lemon muffins, kawakawa biscuits or our delicious ‘See in the Dark’ Anzac biscuits (which you can download the recipe for here).

The money raised goes back to the school to spend on items they need to run Garden to Table whether that’s kitchen items, ingredients, garden tools or seeds.

You can support your local school by heading along to their Bake Sale and getting your hands on some delicious treats, knowing your contribution is going towards helping the tamariki learn to grow and cook delicious kai.
