Celebrating Our 2023 Annual Report

Our 2023 Annual Report is here and it is a beautiful celebration of the progress we’ve made, the impact we’ve had and what we’ve been working on.

Included in the report are new stats from our recent survey of Principals, staff and parents at Garden to Table schools. These are filled with heartwarming insights into the meaning behind the Garden to Table programme in schools and also provide excellent guidance for our future mahi.

Our report also highlights stories from around the motu of the impact Garden to Table is having on our tamariki, their schools, whānau and hapori (community). Like this story about Moturoa School‘s working bee.

The working bee saw 20 whānau gather together to clean-up the school‘s orchard. The tamariki, adults, teachers, and principal spent the day pruning fruit trees, pulling out old plastic weed mats from under them, and feeding the soil with nutrients.

The principal even cooked a BBQ lunch for everyone to enjoy. This fostered a sense of shared purpose, and helped many whānau forge meaningful connections with each other.

The report also features our aspirations, reflections from our Board Chair and CEO and a summary of the key projects Garden to Table staff were working on in 2023. So get stuck in and have a read!

We would like to acknowledge and thank all our supporters, we truly could not create this impact for tamariki without you.

Ngā mihi nui to our Principal Partner Rabobank as well as our wonderful partners Tui, My Food Bag, T&G and Westgold. We could not do the mahi we do without your continued support.

Kia ora rawa atu Fisher and Paykel Healthcare Foundation for your support to our mahi in South Auckland and for our cultural learning and development.

E mihi ana ki Grant Thornton for your support with our 2023 Audit and review of our Annual Report.
